Reservation and Cancellation Policies
As a smaller motel, we are greatly dependent upon our reservations and maintain specific policies that apply to all of our guests. Please take a moment to read them. Thank you.
Reservation Policies
Deposits: A deposit equal to the first night of your stay (lodging unit price including tax and pet or extra person fees) is required to confirm a firm reservation. The deposit is payable by VISA, Discover, MasterCard, money order, or cash. Once payment is received, the reservation is confirmed. A valid VISA, Discover, or MasterCard number is required for all reservations, regardless of how the deposit is paid.
Two-night Minimum: We require a two-night minimum stay between April 1st and October 31st, and all holiday and Peninsula events, regardless of the time of year. This policy requires a non-refundable payment for the second night upon arrival.
Cleaning/Smoking fee: All guests will be subject to additional $50 to $500 cleaning fee per unit, if additional services become necessary beyond our usual cleaning regiment.
Check-in: Begins at 3 pm (Check into office unless prior arrangments have been made) If you think you will be any later then 9pm please call us.

Extra Persons & Pets
Pet fee: We welcome your Dog Only with a $10 (plus tax) per pet per night fee. An additional $50 to $500 cleaning fee will apply if we are required to go beyond our usual cleaning regiment when cleaning your cottage or unit.
Extra person fee: $20 (plus tax) per person per night
We do not provide cots, pads, or roll-away beds for extra guests. You are welcome to bring your own.
We do not recommend more than one extra person beyond the 1- and 2-bed cottage occupancy or more than two extra persons beyond the Apartment occupancy. The Cabin is a two-person-only cottage.
Whole Cove Rentals
Whole Cove Rental: This is a great option for family reunions, retreats, or wedding parties that would like to rent 8 or more cottages. The following terms apply to Whole Cove Rentals:
We have a two-night minimum for Whole Cove Rentals.
The price does not include tax, pet or extra person fees. Our regular pet and extra person fee policies of $10 per pet or $20 extra person per night (plus tax) will apply to Whole Cove Rentals. Unauthorized group renting 8 or more cottages will have a venue fee added to reservation.
The renting party must provide the name of one guest per cottage, as well as the number of people and pets per cottage, 14 days prior to the arrival date.
Shakti Cove’s maximum occupancy is 45.

Monthly Rentals
We do not provide monthly rentals.

Cancellation
A $25 cancellation fee will be applied to all refundable cancellations. We ask that you honor your reservation. An early departure may result in a fee equal to the amount of the deposit.
Deposits become non-refundable:
- 7 days prior to the arrival date of a non-holiday or non-Peninsula event reservation
- 14 days prior to the arrival date of a holiday or Peninsula event reservation
- 30 days prior to the arrival date of a Whole Cove Rental
Cancelling a reservation without appropriate notice as outlined above will result in the charge of your first nights deposit. If we are able to rent the cottage we have reserved for you the fee will be reduced to $25.
